Appointment of Arch KBB Commissioning Fee Policy

Kitchen/Joinery

1. Deposit Requirement

  • Long-Term Kitchen/Joinery Projects: A 10% deposit of the overall kitchen design value (£2500 minimum) is required to proceed beyond the presentation stage.
  • Immediate Kitchen/Joinery Projects: A 50% deposit is required to secure materials, begin site surveys, technical checks, manufacturer checks, and installation slots (if applicable)

The deposit confirms your commitment to the project, enabling us to proceed with site survey, technical verifications, supplier coordination, and design updates. It also ensures the release of 3D drawings, plans, and elevations while allowing us to allocate additional design time to your project

2. Design Amendments

  • The project includes two design amendments as standard.
  • Additional redesigns or changes beyond the agreed scope may incur additional charges for extra design hours required.

3. Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) Drawings

To release detailed M&E/service drawings, all specifications must be finalised.

For immediate projects, the following will be covered by the 50% deposit:

  • Site survey & technical verification to ensure designs align with on-site conditions.A
  • The manufacturer checks for cabinetry, worktops, and materials before production begins.
  • Release of the M&E/ service drawings
  • Securing installation slots (if applicable) to ensure alignment with the agreed project timeline.

4. Securing Pricing for Materials

To secure pricing, a 50% deposit is required.

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days, after which pricing may change.
  • The securing of pricing for materials remains subject to agreement on a delivery timeframe. Projects delayed beyond the agreed timeframes at the point of the deposit may be subject to price increases or storage charges.
  • Please note that orders are only placed upon completion of the pre production sign off. 

5. Final Quote & Site Adjustments

The final value of the kitchen may change based on site survey findings and material selection. A final internal plan check will be conducted before confirming the final quote.

6. Installation & Project Timeline

  • Installation slots (if applicable) will be secured upon receipt of the 50% deposit.
  • Delivery and installation dates will be confirmed once the design and payments are finalised.
  • Timely material decisions will help ensure the project stays on track.

Bathrooms

1. Bathroom Deposit Requirements

To initiate the bathroom design process, a £300 design fee per bathroom is required. This fee covers:

  • A site survey and technical verification to ensure the design aligns with on-site conditions.
  • Two design amendments at no additional cost.
  • Any further amendments beyond the second revision will be chargeable at £80 per revision, per space.

Our 3D visuals are created to scale; however, they are for illustration purposes only.

This design fee is non-refundable; however, if you choose to proceed with placing an order with Arch KBB, the fee will be credited towards your total sales order.

For supply-only projects, it is the client’s responsibility to confirm that all products fit within the existing space and site conditions.

Once the £300 design fee is received, we will schedule and complete the site survey and release the plans and visuals upon completion of the design.

Once the design process begins, we will proceed with necessary technical verifications and supplier coordination for bathroom materials and fittings.
