Run length usually has the biggest effect because a longer run needs more cabinetry, doors, internal storage and fitting time. The finish and interior then shape the figure around that starting point.

A freestanding wardrobe is made to work in many rooms, so it can be produced in volume and sold at a catalogue price. A fitted wardrobe is made for one wall and one storage brief. It can run to the ceiling, work around awkward corners and use the depth you actually have.
That is why the run length and interior matter more here than a single headline price.

Is the calculator result a quote?
No. It is a broad planning range, meant for budgeting. A firm price needs the measured room and the final design, materials and fittings.
Why does the run length matter most?
Because almost everything scales with it — cabinetry, doors, internal storage and fitting time. A rough wall measurement is more useful than “small” or “large”.
Do sliding doors cost more than hinged?
Not necessarily. It depends on the system, door size, finish and specification. Treat the door style as one factor among four, not a fixed surcharge.
Do drawers and lighting add much?
They can. Rails and shelves are simpler; drawers, shoe storage and lighting add materials and labour. The calculator groups these choices into three levels rather than pricing each item.
